Alba G. Corral is a multi-disciplinary artist with a vision that one day the world of art will change, her highest ambition is the support for visual artists, who are often undervalued. Alba is a mastermind of creative technology and visuals creation, therefore her biggest pain is that the contemporary art market doesn’t give enough visibility and coexistence for visual artists.
Alba herself is very successful in the field though. Her curious digital curves, which balance peacefully on the screen accompanied by the sounds of famous musicians (such as Jon Hopkins, Fibla and Stendhal Syndrome etc), have been exhibited in Spain and abroad, at such events as Eufonic, Sonar, Primavera Sound, Mutek and others.
This summer Alba also took on a nomad’s role – travelling around Spain, never staying at the same house, the artist was taking a daily Instagram picture, a very subjective and personal view of her life. This experience was life changing for her, she claims. The artist understood that in the end of the day, a human being can feel very liberated not having a permanent place or many physical objects.
Alba’s next big project is Mix-en-scene, a project that aims to develop an acoustic, visual and choreographic experience for the audience, with visual pieces in real time. Catch it at Sala Hiroshima 29 and 30 October.

Corral es una artista multidisciplinar con una ambición personal, su visión y planteamiento es que un día el mundo del arte va a dar real crédito a los artistas visuales, quienes a menudo están infravalorados. Ella es un mastermind de la creación tecnológica y de creación visual, por lo tanto, su mayor pena es que el mercado del arte contemporáneo no da suficiente visibilidad y convivencia para los artistas en su género.
Alba de todas formas ha tenido bastante éxito en su campo. Sus curiosas curvas digitales, que se equilibran pacíficamente en la pantalla acompañadas con fondos musicales de famosos como Jon Hopkins, Fibla Stendhal Syndrome etc, han sido presentadas tanto en España como en el extranjero, en grandes eventos tales como Eufonic, Sonar, Primavera Sound, Mutek entre otros.
Este verano pasado Alba también asumió el papel de una Nómada – viajando por España, nunca alojándose en el mismo sitio, donde tomaba una foto diaria y la publicaba en Instagram, enseñando una visión muy subjetiva y personal de su vida. Esta experiencia fue un cambio de vida completo, ella afirma. Alba, el artista, entiende que al final del día, un ser humano puede sentirse muy liberado de no tener un lugar permanente o de no poseer muchos objetos materiales.
Su próximo gran proyecto es Mix-en-scene, un proyecto que tiene como objetivo desarrollar una experiencia acústica, visual y coreográfica para el público con piezas visuales en tiempo real. Os invitamos a la visitéis en la Sala Hiroshima el 29 y 30 de octubre.
