70 years have passed since what looked like yet another photographic project took shape and became the most attractive, contemporary and cosmopolitan visual format that could ever have been created. Edwin Land and his legacy is what makes us always stand dedicated to promoting and disseminating to what is happening in the world around this technology and its most diverse creative forms of expression.
The Polaroid Festival, one of the most innovative photography festivals in our community, temporarily leaves its space in Paris to move to Barcelona, where its fifth edition will demonstrate all the reasons of why are they famous: Passion, freedom of expression, and a natural way to share the art behind instant photography.
The festival director Clément Grosjean is a strategist in the photographic community, so the event leaves no loose ends. With this year’s theme “Together”, the festival gathers the community to promote instant art in all its expression, without limits or borders. Its “living creativity laboratory” aims to mobilize people of all ages to approach and know everything the Festival can offer, for free: exhibition, workshops, music, poetry, photography, book presentations, an full week to learn from the festival creators the infinite forms of expression that originate behind this fantastic idea.
The opening of the festival will happen on September 6 at 19:30, and it will last until Sunday 8 including at the Atelier Güell, Carrer de les Penedides 8 in Barcelona.
Se cumplen 70 años desde que lo que parecía un proyecto fotográfico mas tomó forma y se convirtió en el formato visual mas atractivo, contemporáneo y cosmopolita que pueda haberse creado jamás. Edwin Land y su legado es lo que hace que nosotros estemos de pie siempre entregados a promover y divulgar lo que sucede en el mundo alrededor de esta tecnología y sus mas diversas creativas formas de expresión.
El Polaroid Festival, uno de los festivales de fotografía mas creativos en nuestra comunidad, deja temporalmente su espacio en París para trasladarse a Barcelona, en el que presentarán en su quinta edición todas las razones por las cuáles son famosos: Pasión, libertad de expresión, y una natural forma de compartir con todo el mundo todo lo que el arte detrás de la fotografía instantánea tiene por ofrecer.
Su director, Clément Grosjean, es un estratega en la comunidad fotográfica, por lo que el evento no deja cabos sueltos. Con el tema de este año, “Juntos”, agrupa a la comunidad a promover el arte instantáneo en toda su expresión, sin límites ni fronteras. Su “laboratorio viviente de creatividad” se mueve a Barcelona para movilizar a gente de todas las edades a acercarse y conocer de forma gratuita todo lo que el Festival puede ofrecer: exposición, talleres, música, poesía, fotografía, presentaciones de libros, un fin de semana completo para aprender de sus creadores las infinitas formas de expresión que se originan detrás de esta fantástica idea.
La inauguración es el 6 de septiembre a las 19:30, y estará hasta el domingo 8 todo el día en el Atelier Güell, Carrer de les Penedides 8 en Barcelona.
