A story of childhood friendships, Carla and Jazz, had a natural impulse of musical creation, and when they allied with a powerful drummer like Antonio and the bass of Leia, the sister of Jazz, they created one of the most energetic bands in the local scene.
Mourn is rage, freedom, rebellion, rock’and’roll without a doubt. From their native Cabrils they moved through European and American stages, returning this year with a new album and charged batteries.
They define themselves like four nerds playing music and shit at the doors of hell. We wanted to make sure of that in the first person.
We caught MOURN at MACBA (Barcelona) and after having duplicated them in our photos, we sat down to have a drink. Young people, cool ones and currently finishing the bachelor’s degree.
– How was it for you to have obtained such fame being so young?
Hard, because during the week we led a normal life, studying and such, and the weekend rehearsing. Basically it is this, studies and music, there was no time even for friends.
– What is your favorite place in Barcelona or Catalonia?
– Barcelona I do not like it! I’m from a village.

– The reason why you make music?
– I would not know how to do anything else
– I never thought about doing it

Una historia de dos amigas de la infancia, Carla y Jazz, con un impulso natural de crear música, y que cuando se alían con un potente batería como Antonio y el bajo de Leia, hermana de Jazz, crean una de las bandas mas energéticas en la escena local.
Mourn es rabia, libertad, rebeldía, rock and roll sin lugar a dudas. Desde su Cabrils natal se movido por escenarios europeos y americanos como pez en el agua, volviendo este año con nuevo disco y con las pilas cargadas.
Se definen como cuatro ‘nerds’ tocando música y mierda en las puertas del infierno. Queríamos sin lugar a dudas comprobarlo en primera persona.
Los atrapamos en el MACBA (Barcelona) y luego de duplicar a sus miembros con nuestras fotos, aprovechamos para tomarnos un refresco con ellos. Jóvenes, majos y acabando el bachillerato.
– Cómo fue para vosotros el haber obtenido fama tan jóvenes?
Duro, porque entre semana llevábamos vida normal, estudiando y tal, y los findes ensayando. Básicamente es esto, estudios y música, no había tiempo ni para amigos.
– Cuál es vuestro sitio favorito en Barcelona o Cataluña?
– Barcelona no me gusta! soy de pueblo

– Nevermind! Las cervezas allí son muy buenas
– Porque hacéis música?
– No sabría hacer otra cosa
– Nunca me planteado a hacerlo
