Paul Cezanne once said that “Shadow is a colour as light is, but less brilliant; light and shadow are only the relation of two tones.” Those who work in instant photography could not agree more with Cezanne’s statement – we know the importance of light, but a shadow has exactly same importance. We treat shadows as colour, as protagonist in their own right and as signi cant aides to support the main visual focus.

Polaroid of the day are proud to present, once again, an instant photography exposition in Barcelona, as the welcome to Expolaroid festival. We will be featuring 25 works, all by female authors from all over the world, with the invitation to explore what shadows mean to them.

The  exposition will be held in Projekteria, which for the second time will be associated in an event related to the promotion and dissemination of instant photography in the world.

Paul Cezanne una vez dijo: “La sombra es un color como lo es la luz, pero menos brillante; la luz y la sombra son solo la relación de dos tonos”. Los que trabajan en fotografía instantánea no podrían estar más de acuerdo con la afirmación de Cézanne: conocemos la importancia de la luz. Pero una sombra tiene exactamente la misma importancia. Tratamos a las sombras como color, como protagonistas por derecho propio y figuras importantes para apoyar el enfoque visual principal.

Polaroid of the day se enorgullece en presentar, una vez más, una exposición fotográfica instantánea en Barcelona, ​​dando la bienvenida al festival Expolaroid. Estaremos presentando 25 obras, todas de autores femeninas de todo el mundo, con la invitación a explorar qué significan las sombras para ellas.
La exposición se llevará a cabo en Projekteria, que por segunda vez se asociará a un evento relacionado con la promoción y difusión de la fotografía instantánea en el mundo.
