About eight months ago we began to see a number of photographers on our Instagram who impressed us with their work with expired Polaroid film. They just published strange, nostalgic, simply decorated series with landscapes and cloudy landscapes and models heavily driven to conquer the picture.
At times we loved it, we were surprised, they made us feel sad or excited, and then we took the initiative to contact one of them, and gradually others were arriving. One by one we published a series of photographers who shared something in common, their Country of origin: Romania.
Whoever heard of Romania perhaps thinks of Bucharest as the Paris of the nineteenth century, or the castle of that Count who lived in Transylvania, But finding Polaroid photographers we thought was hard.
We were very wrong, their passion for Polaroid which we share with them led them to create an association and also a rewarding work with analog photography, emerging styles and sharing them with the world.
We are aware of their success, their social networks have grown magically with fans from everywhere, admiring their work.
By proposing to create an exhibition in Barcelona they did not hesitate at all, and by the creative hand of Ioana, Albert and Mireia, we will present the first exhibition of many this next July. There, Romanian Polaroid Photographers start spreading their work, and in Barcelona where they will be waiting for all your support of this world of photography that we promote so hard. You can meet some of them in person. They come to Barcelona only to share their experiences.

Hace unos ocho meses comenzamos a ver por nuestro Instagram una serie de fotógrafos que nos estaban impresionando con su trabajo con película caducada en Polaroid. Sencillamente publicaban series, extrañas, nostálgicas, sencillamente decoradas con paisajes nublados y modelos fuertemente lanzadas a conquistar la imagen.
Por momentos nos encantaban, nos sorprendían, nos hacían sentir tristes o emocionados, y tomamos la iniciativa de contactar a uno de ellos, y poco a poco fueron llegando los demás, y uno a uno fuimos publicando una serie de fotógrafos que tenían en común su país de origen: Rumania.
Quien haya oído hablar de Rumanía quizá piensa en Bucarest como la Paris del siglo XIX, o en el castillo de aquel conde que vivía en Transilvania, pero encontrar fotógrafos en Polaroid pensábamos que habían pocos. Estábamos muy equivocados, su emoción con la pasión que compartimos los llevó a crear una asociación y a su vez una enriquecedora labor con la fotografía analógica, emergiendo estilos y compartiéndolos con el mundo entero.
Somos conscientes de su éxito, de como sus redes sociales crecieron mágicamente con seguidores de todas partes admirando su trabajo.
Al proponerles crear una exposición en Barcelona ellos no dudaron un instante, y junto a la mano creativa de Ioana, Albert y Mireia, el próximo julio presentaremos la primera exposición de muchas en las que la Romanian Polaroid Photographers comenzará a rodar su trabajo, y lo harán en Barcelona donde todos estaremos esperando vuestro apoyo a este mundo de la fotografía que nosotros promovemos con tanto ahínco y donde podéis conocer a algunos de ellos que vienen exclusivamente para compartir sus experiencias.
