Nikka and her project The space in between are more known in the alternative circles – gigs in Sweden, London, Paris, New York, Sonar 2009, residency in Eufònic and this Thursday – She Makes Noise Festival in Madrid.
Nikka started her musical career as far as 11 years ago, when she was djing while living in London. She would always play IDM, and then after a while her musical circles got her interested in making her own music. Nikka came to Barcelona and that’s when she met Mario d.Forma. Together they were in Lovethechaos, and later Metronique, making innovative noise music.

Then around 2008 people from NIU proposed she started collaborating with Alba G. Corral, and that’s how The space in between was formed in 2009, and the most important news for them at the moment is the Thursday’s gig @ She Makes Noise 2016.
She Makes Noise is the 2nd edition of the festival, and the name speaks for itself – it’s women who make noise music. Nikka is bringing her own machinery for making noise, and she says she is very excited to participate, because the concept really appeals to her.

Apart from The space in between Nikka is also working on her own new album, and she has shared one of her latest tracks, with us – The Baltic Sea from my window, a track she made during her residency in Gotland, Sweden. (see below)
Nikka y su proyecto The space in between, son más conocidos en los círculos alternativos – conciertos en Suecia, Londres, París, Nueva York, Sónar 2009, Residencia en Eufònic y este jueves – She Makes Noise Festival en Madrid.
Nikka comenzó su carrera musical hace unos 11 años cuando se dedicaba a pinchar música mientras vivía en Londres. Siempre pondría en vivo su estilo habitual, IDM, y después de un tiempo rodando, se interesó en hacer su propia música. Cuando Nikka volvío a Barcelona, conocí a d.Forma. Juntos estaban en Lovethechaos, y más tarde en Metronique, haciendo Noise Music innovadora.
En el 2008, una propuesta con NIU le hizo comenzar a colaborar con Alba G. Corral, y es así como se formó The space in between en el 2009. Después de muchos años rodando juntas, las chicas participan hoy @ She Makes Noise 2016 en Madrid.
She Makes Noise es la segunda edición del festival, y el nombre habla por si mismo – es de mujeres que se dedican a hacer Noise Music. Nikka está trayendo su propia maquinaria para hacer ruido, y ella nos cuenta que está muy emocionada de poder participar, porque el concepto apela realmente a ella.

Aparte de The space in between, Nikka también está trabajando en su propio nuevo disco, y del que ella ha compartido uno de sus últimos temas con nosotros – The Baltic Sea from my window, una pista que hizo durante su residencia en Gotland, Suecia.
