Pairi-daéza, which in Old Persian (Avestan) means “Paradise”, is the background where the Iranian artist Nina Ansari presents her work REBEL IN PARADISE, an autobiographic composition where the darker feeling is reflected, a meditation of her own body given to the forced separation between East and West, of leaving Iran and the entire context in which she has developed her work in Germany.
Her identity reflected in different scenarios leading the bystander to put himself /herself in her position, where she gives us the opportunity to travel to Persian lands, that have been a basic element for her in this exhibition.
On my last visit to Berlin I could visit her studio and check the magnitude of her work, and today as an appetizer I leave you with some stunning portraits together with her works, which are part of her exhibition that can be visited from the 24th of September at the AQUABIT gallery in Berlin, and which close on the 5th of October with a big event not to be missed.
While we all have been rebels, and many still are, what is better than being one in Paradise?
Pairi-daéza, que en el antiguo persa (Avestan) significa “Paraíso”, es el escenario donde la artista Iraní Nina Ansari nos presenta su trabajo REBEL IN PARADISE, una composición autobiográfica donde nos refleja el sentimiento mas oscuro, una reflexión de su propio cuerpo entregado a la forzosa separación entre oriente y occidente, de su salida de Irán y todo el contexto en el que ella ha trabajado su obra en Alemania.
Su identidad reflejada en diferentes escenarios llevan al espectador a ponerse en su piel, donde ella nos brinda la oportunidad de viajar a las tierras persas que para ella han sido parte básica en esta exposición.
En mi última visita en Berlín he podido visitar su estudio y comprobar la magnitud de su trabajo, y hoy como un abrebocas os dejo con unos impresionantes retratos junto a sus obras, que forman parte de su exposición que podrá ser visitada a partir del 24 de Septiembre en la AQUABIT gallery en Berlin, y que el 5 de Octubre cerrará con un gran evento que tampoco os podéis perder.
Si bien todos hemos sidos rebeldes, y muchos aún lo somos, que mejor que serlo en el Paraíso?
