In an incessant search, in a somewhat systematic way, the photography of Astrid Jacomme reflects and perceives details almost imperceptible to the human eye, but which she somehow always puts there to be found. Sometimes it is not enough to get away and get closer, you must go around her images, to always end up recognizing corners where we should stop to reflect in them, and simply let ourselves go.
Chemist by profession, this French woman settled in Barcelona since years, is a photographer dedicated to her work. With her first Polaroid 635 which was a gift from her mother, she has recreated moments, trips, and moments that are simply beautiful works of art.
Intervening the photo is part of her creative process, sometimes imperceptible, and where we find that naturally her fault-defect-error relationship tests the physics of the photo, to turn it into evidence of how far it can be reached with the instant format.

En ocasiones no basta con alejarse y acercarse, hay que dar un rodeo a sus imágenes, para siempre terminar reconociendo en ellas rincones donde tenemos que parar a reflexionar, y simplemente dejarnos llevar.
