The darkness that is seen in the origin of instant photography is rewarded in stories, just as the negative becomes light. This duality is the one that we photographers constantly play with, in our minds the negative is constantly present, and it tries to rule our desires. That constant struggle is what makes the technique become an ally of the final results. Science and art are not far away at all.
M. Hammad, a Palestinian photographer and artist based in Belgium, trained in Physics and International Relations and European Politics, is a photographer who has long captured our attention with his deep and narrative photos.

La oscuridad que yace en el origen de la fotografía instantánea se recompensa en las historias cuándo el negativo se convierte en luz. Esta dualidad es con la que jugamos los fotógrafos constantemente, en nuestras mentes el negativo está constantemente presente, y tienta a sobreponerse a nuestros deseos. Esa lucha constante es la que hace que la técnica se convierta en un aliado de los resultados finales. Ciencia y arte no están lejos en absoluto.
