Soledad Arismendi, Uruguayan, graphic and web designer, art lover, tech lover, beauty supporter – lives 14 years in Barcelona. She studied information technologies until she understood that she will become what she doesn’t want to become. So one day she changed her life and started with another thing: helping bring ideas to life; also because this allows her to experiment with new collaborative forms or working, and do something in relation to technology, social change, collaboration and active society engagement.
Being restless and curious (sometimes too much) has brought Soledad to being a part of several initiatives, mostly of cultural projects, for example This is not a company, Sigueleyendo, WeArt Festival o Citycise.
To launch these products meant making the world a little better to Soledad, because she is convinced that the world, or rather the people – we can be happier living with each other in harmony, alongside beauty, culture and stimuli which it causes.
At the moment Soledad is recharging to start a new project, although its final form is not known yet, or the due date. What’s known for sure is that this new project will be related to digital arts.
Soledad Arismendi, uruguaya, diseñadora y programadora web, amante del arte, la tecnología y la belleza, lleva viviendo 14 años en Barcelona. Estudio ingeniería informática hasta darse cuenta que no quería transformarse en aquello que llegaría a ser. Llegado este punto dio un paso a un lado y comenzó con lo que a día de hoy sigue haciendo: poner en funcionamiento ideas por las que apuesta, ya sea porque le permiten experimentar nuevas formas de trabajo colaborativo, que aportan beneficios a sectores a través del uso de nuevas tecnologías, o que promuevan cambios sociales, de colaboración y participación activa de las personas.
Ser inquieta y curiosa (a veces demasiado) ha llevado a Soledad a formar parte y/o crear varias iniciativas, en general con proyectos vinculados a la cultura, como lo han sido This is not a company, Sigueleyendo, WeArt Festival o Citycise.
Para poner estos proyecto en la marcha, a Soledad ha ayudado el hecho de aportar un granito de arena para hacer de este un mundo mejor, y esto se debe a la certeza de que el mundo -o mejor dicho, las personas- podemos ser mas felices viviendo en armonía entre nosotros, con la belleza, la cultura y los estímulos que esto nos provoca.
Actualmente Soledad retomando fuerzas para dar comienzo a un nuevo proyecto que aunque no sabe exactamente su forma final ni su fecha de salida, sabe con seguridad que estará vinculado al arte, específicamente al arte digital.
