To celebrate 4 years of existence of their project, Polaroid of the day, Andrés Aguilar Caro and Alina Cvetkova have selected a part of the best photographers who have participated in this online magazine since its creation, forming the exhibition “The Decisive Light” .
The exposition is curated by Anna García, from Escalera de Incendios, and produces in a unique event in Barcelona, which is the meeting of several worlds through instant photography and its versions of each of the artists with the common theme – the Light, with a personal connection that the exhibition ties to many stories that are found through the same geometric prism, with almost ethereal and yet palpable snapshots for the human eye.
The exhibition will be held at Projekteria [Art Gallery], a young gallery specializing in photography in the neighborhood of Poble sec in Barcelona (c / Ricart 19), from September 1 to October 8. Throughout the month there will be activities related to the Polaroid world: an instant photography workshop for beginners, a double exposure workshop with SX-70 cameras with a French photographer Marjolaine Vuarnesson and workshop on instant photography in large format cameras by photographer Efrén Razkin.
In addition, the exhibition is part of Young Gallery Weekend, the third edition of which be held from September 29 to October 1, 2017.
Para celebrar los 4 años de existencia, del proyecto editorial de Andrés Aguilar y Alina Cvetkova, Polaroid of the day, han seleccionado una parte de los mejores fotógrafos que han pasado por este magazine online desde su creación, formando la exposición “La luz decisiva”.
Comisariada por Anna García, Escalera de Incendios, produce en un espacio único en Barcelona, la reunión de varios mundos a través de la fotografía instantánea y sus versiones de cada uno de los artistas sobre la Luz, con una conexión personal que la exposición intenta atar, muchas historias que se encuentran a través del mismo prismático geométrico, con instantáneas casi etéreas y aun así palpables al ojo humano.
La exposición se llevará a cabo en Projekteria [Art Gallery] un joven espacio especializado en fotografía, en el barrio de Poblesec en Barcelona (c/ Ricart 19), del 1 de septiembre al 8 de octubre. La inauguración será el 1 de septiembre a las 19h donde podremos conocer en persona a parte de los fotógrafos que participan en la exposición. Por la noche seguirá la celebración con una after party en el bar La Federica de Poblesec. Durante todo el mes habrán actividades relacionadas con el mundo Polaroid: fotografía instantánea para principiantes, workshop de doble exposición en cámaras SX-70 con la fotógrafa Marjolaine Vuarnesson y workshop de fotografía instantánea en cámaras de gran formato a cargo del fotógrafo Efrén Razkin.
Además, la exposición forma parte del Young Gallery Weekend, que su tercera edición se llevará a cabo del 29 de septiembre al 1 de octubre de 2017. YGW es el Festival de Arte Independiente de Barcelona que trabaja con espacios y propuestas independientes y emergentes generando vanguardia en la ciudad.
