Florent Heraud is a French photographer, who also happens to be a doctor. Like many other photographers, he started with digital photography, investing a lot in material: macro lens, multiple flashes, radio triggers, etc, before he realized that the more complex the material, the less the picture pleases him. So he came back to the roots: a single objective, natural light.
It is this dynamics of “descaling” that brought him to instant photography (medium format, 35 mm) and then to the Polaroid.
Most recently Florent came up with the cycle “Urban Chronicles” on Instagram – a series of instant pictures, obliging him to make regular photos, concentrating on the composition and the subject. They are mostly city shots, but also sometimes including femininity. We love how Florent’s pictures are geometrical captures of urban landscapes and female curves.
Florent Heraud es un fotógrafo francés, además de médico. Como muchos otros fotógrafos, sus comienzos en la fotografía fueron en formato digital, invirtiendo mucho en material: lentes macro, diferentes tipos de flashes, disparadores a distancia, etc., antes de darse cuenta de que cuanto más complejo era el material, la imagen le agradaba cada vez menos. Así que volvió a las raíces: un solo objetivo, luz natural.

Son sobre todo instantáneas urbanas, pero también a veces incluyendo feminidad. Nos encanta cómo las imágenes de Florent son capturas geométricas de paisajes urbanos y curvas femeninas.
