Carnus | Instant Photographers

Decentralise culture! This Saturday 17 December Polaroid of the day will participate in an experimental electronic microfestival “Carnus” located in the centre of Catalunya, a village called Moia, in an antigue manor house.

The place where the festival will be held is called “La Cort”, and is managed by Ex Abrupto collective. The collective welcomes contemporary art proposals intermittently throughout the year, without a fixed schedule but with a focus on decentralising culture away from Barcelona. Last big event for them was a triumphant festival in Vic in May.

This time, “Carnus” will incorporate sound, music and art – electronic, experimental, industrial and poetry performance, with the invited artists being: Anur, Ubaldo, TECIB, Mark O’Callaghan, Niedowierzanie, Total Crap, Pompette, Electroparia Pablo GM Tisch, Ballús Adrià, Joan Adrover, Vanity Dust and Loudness.

Sneak preview from Polaroid of the day – a narrow selection of our invited guest photographers (as a tryout for a much bigger event we will hold in 2017, yes, that’s the spoiler and the sneak preview), currently featuring photos by Ale Bu, Maks Dikarev, Rachel Frank, Ivan Rodriguez Faba, Ioana Cristina Casapu i Ivan Pujol.

During the event, Efren Razkin, who was also featured with us, will shoot polaroids live with a Graflex camera Pacemaker 50’s.

¡Descentralizar la cultura! Este sábado 17 de diciembre Polaroid of the day participará en el microfestival electrónico y experimental “Carnus”, en Moia, en el centro de Catalunya, en una antigua casa de verano.

El lugar donde se celebrará el festival se llama “La Cort”, y es administrado por el colectivo Ex Abrupto. El colectivo da la bienvenida a las propuestas de arte contemporáneo intermitentemente a lo largo del año, sin un calendario fijo pero centrado en la descentralización de la cultura fuera de Barcelona. El último gran evento producido por ellos fue un festival exitoso celebrado el pasado mayo en Vic.

Esta vez, “Carnus” incorporará sonido, música y arte – con una performance electrónica, experimental, industrial y de poesía, con los artistas invitados: Anur, Ubaldo, TECIB, Mark O’Callaghan, Niedowierzanie, Total Crap, Pompette, Electroparia Pablo GM Tisch, Ballús Adrià, Joan Adrover, Vanity Dust y Loudness.

Será además una vista previa de Polaroid del día – una selección intencionadamente aleatoria de de nuestros fotógrafos invitados (como abrebocas visualde un evento mucho más grande que celebraremos en 2017, sí, que es el spoiler y la vista previa). Presentamos fotos de Ale Bu, Maks Dikarev, Rachel Frank, Iván Rodríguez Faba, Ioana Cristina Casapu y Ivan Pujol.

Durante el evento, Efren Razkin, que también fue publicado por nosotros como fotógrafo invitado, tomará unas fantásticas polaroids en vivo con una cámara Graflex Pacemaker de los años cincuenta.
